2011-12 Fall flowers cleanup

A Grevillea whose name I've forgotten. Blooms all winter and spring.

The Haemanthus albiflos was particularly shaving brush=esque.

My Ericas that I started from seed in 2009 have begun to bloom. These are all South African Cape Ericas that are in the greenhouse. I hope to try them outdoors when the garden is ready for them... Probably next spring planting.

Erica speciosa. I have both the regular red and the alba varieties.
Photobucket

Erica glauca elegans. This flower has a thick green corolla.

Erica abietina ssp constantiana = Erica conica. Actually has a mild sweet scent.

The Lachenalia alioides quadricolor I've had for a few years blooming well.

A new Lachenalia bulbifera. I got all my Lachenalia from Telos Rare Bulbs. All are in the greenhouse with no real hope of getting them to survive outdoors.
Photobucket

Lachenalia viridiflora. One of the few amazingly turquoise flowers, along with Strongylodon macrobotrys and Ixia viridiflora.
Photobucket

Oxalis versicolor.

They're nicest when they're partially closed.

Oxalis lupinafolia.

A tiny Oxalis obtusa.

Last, the Restrepia which I got for free in 2004 is still going strong.
