Our new home has a 30X10 SW facing sunroom. We heat it to 55 in the winter, but when the sun is out, as it has been this January, with the doors to the room closed it can reach 80F inside, even if it's only 40F outside. If we open the doors to the sunroom on a sunny winter day, it heats the whole house :-) It's also a great growing space, for obvious reasons, especially with the low winter sun pouring in.
The NW end.
The SE end.
Oxalis versicolor with its candy cane flowers bloomed straight through winter.
Lachenalia aloides var quadricolor.
Rhododendron laetum x phaeochitum.
Rhododendron xAleksander Isayevich.
The sleeeeepy kitty. She doesn't have to sleep in the basket. There're couches and beds too!
